RESILIENCY ROOMS

THE GOAL

Let's create a space where your students can build the skills needed to reset and recover from emotional setback during the school day. A place of peace within your school, home or classroom where children and teens can develop a heightened sense of mental resiliency, mind-body awareness, emotional self-regulation and motivation.

room for resiliency helps students feel better equipped to solve problems, achieve academic success and maintain a state of healthy Social-Emotional Development.

WHY IT MATTERS

Research shows that children who have a safe space to recover from setbacks and can emotionally self-regulate are less likely to bully others, commit suicide and suffer from mental illness later on in life. They tend to be more ambitious, healthy, kind, academically motivated and have a general sense of optimism.

Together, we can create a space to empower your students...let's get started!

Collaboration

Meet Principal Morgan, a stand out leader in education who made room for wellness at her school with the innovative idea to convert an old copy room to a room of resilience!

Her partnership with Great Day Academics, LLC led to a restorative space in her school where students could turn things around when they're feeling down.

Ask how her staff and students responded to their new space.

Resources, Tools & Lessons

Connect with Great Day for a free consultation, advice and tips for starting a space for resilience in your home or school. Whether you need a step by step guide to get your room started or would like it all done for you, Great Day has you covered!

Depending on availability, collaborative schools can hire Mrs. Adrienne, a veteran teacher who is also certified in stress management and emotional self-regulation to be your Resiliency Room Coach. She provides weekly lessons for students, monthly workshops to support teachers and manages your space for the school year.

Ask about a "Resiliency Room Starter Kit" for printable activities, book recommendations and hands-on learning posters that are available for your space of resilience.

MAKE IT MORE THAN A ROOM

Build Resilience

Creating a Resiliency Room is more than making a space of comfort and calming design. Your children or students can learn important lessons that will help them throughout their lifetime. Ask how your class or students can sign up for live resiliency lessons and learn emotional-self regulation techniques to make the most of their school year!
